Sofia is a shepherd mix that is very new to us, but is a wonderful dog already!

She is still learning housebreaking, but sleeps through the night without any problem. When kept on a good schedule, she has no problems! She is also crate trained and good with cats!

With new people, Sofia will approach slowly at first, but as soon as you pay her attention, she is quick to show lots of love to you! She has been around a few older kids and was very friendly! She doesn’t quite know her own size yet (around humans or dogs) so she might be a little bit too much for young kids. But, she’d love to be a playmate for an older one!

She would also love to be a playmate for a dog too! She loves ever dog she has met and would be great at a dog park! In fact, she does have quite a bit of energy and probably needs a home that has a built in doggie-playmate or one where they would take her to the dog park often. She is a very busy dog, and even when she is not playing with a dog or human, she will get a toy to play on her own.

Sofia is a quick learner! We don’t know if her previous owner taught her, or if her food motivation helped trained her, but she already knows commands like sit, down and stay! She is still learning to walk on a leash and since she is such a smart girl, we know she will pick it up very fast!

Sofia is a very friendly and loving dog that is just waiting to give her love to you!

Ava is a Doberman/shepherd mix that we think will be around 35-40 pounds when she is full grown.

Ava is still learning housebreaking and crate training, but she has just about mastered both! She potties as soon as she is outside and has picked up on the routines quickly! With consistency, she should continue to progress nicely!

She met a few cats and children during a recent vet visit and did wonderfully with both. With an unfriendly cat, all Ava did was run away and hide! With the children, she was very shy but sweet! She wiggled with excitement and gave little kisses!

Ava’s idea of a best doggie friend is one that is smaller and plays in a gentle manner. And while she is tolerant, she gets a little scared with dogs that want to play roughly. She is a very laid back dog and only has a moderate amount of energy. Just some playtime in the yard and a short walk should do her just fine!

She is so curious about new people and surroundings but still cautious. Once she gets a gentle pat or you get on her level, she is in your lap and giddy with excitement! She gets over her shyness very quickly and then she can hardly contain her love and adorable personality. We don’t consider her to be clingy, just affectionate.

Ava has the cutest ridge of hair down the back of her neck that always stands up but even more when she is excited or nervous. She is a little wiggle worm when she gets excited and her little body just vibrated with pure happiness.

Ava not only has a beautiful face, she possesses an easy going gentle personality. She likes to play and be silly but her main goal is to be a companion to her people. She is so attentive to those around her and just seems so happy to be part of a family. She is a very special dog that will add a spark of pure love to a lucky family!

Blue is a  doberman mix that will be around 60 pounds when he’s done growing. Blue doesn’t require a lot of exercise to be happy, although he LOVES walks, runs and swimming. He is medium energy and very laid back, but he is far from lazy and can keep up on long hikes.

He lives with another playful young dog and does wonderful with it! We think he would be happiest to live in a home with other dogs to play with and keep him company all day. He loves to play, but is also perfectly content lounging in the sun or under your feet.

We consider him to be the best kind of dog park dog! He knows no stranger – be it human or four legged – and is happy to run from dog to person getting in playtime and any love someone wants to give him too. Blue has been around children of different ages (3-13), and he absolutely loves them. They love him, too!! He is gentle and does not jump when he gets excited. He would be really great for a family with children young or old. He is playful and curious, but not overly so. He would love to keep any kid company while they are playing in the yard or riding a bike.

Blue is extremely sweet and is not demanding in the least bit but every once in a while, he will just climb into your lab, or flop over on you to show you how much he likes you! He is a shadow of whoever is home with him.  Whether it be people or another dog, Blue very much likes to be where the action is.

Blue’s nickname is “floppy” because he just falls over when he plays, even the smallest dogs make him do it. Or he will just slide off the couch onto the floor instead of actually getting up. It’s really sweet and funny.

Blue really is a wonderful dog who strives so hard to be good, and is so grateful when he is rewarded. We are lucky to have him with us!

Bosley is an amazing pit-mix that has stolen our hearts. We think he might have a little boxer in him because he sure likes to use his front legs like a boxer and has a rather slender build. His face is the only part that makes him look like a pit – wide set, oval shaped eyes, cute little ears and a shortish muzzle.  

Bosley is housebroken, crate trained and is even good with cats! He’s also good with kids and strangers – he just wants to take a second to get to know you and then he’s  good to go!

He is wonderful with other dogs – he LOVES playing with them and sure loves to go to the dog park too! Bosley has a good amount of energy and playing with other dogs is a perfect way for him to exercise! A few long walks, or playing with a ball is good too. On a rainy day, a good heavy duty play session seems to suit him just fine! He loves to chase the vacuum cleaner, so that’s always an option!

Bosley is definitely a creature of habit so meeting new people, especially at home, takes him just a bit to adjust to. He isn’t scared, he’s what we like to call skeptical.  He likes to observe and take things in before making any decisions, but once he bonds with someone it is a deep relationship and he will give/receive as much affection as you can handle.

He is very alert and as a creature of habit, even a new box in his surroundings can make him curious! He will actually take a new route to get to where he’s going until he can get up his nerve to go sniff things out. Very cute to watch!

Bosley’s foster dad says he is an amazing dog – he is loyal, protective, adorable, and has a wonderful personality  – and we agree 100%!
